IMPORTANT SAFETY NOTICE
REGARDING WOOM BIKES
We have become aware of a very small number of woom bikes where the shaft of the fork has become loose. While we have not had any accidents, there have been two instances where the fork became loose out of 5,500 woom 4, 5, and 6 bikes. It is possible that this looseness could cause a rider to lose control of the bike and to fall. If you purchased a from us between you could be affected, and we have a solution to ensure this doesn’t happen to your bike.
The bikes are batch numbers 1809 to 1904. This number is stamped on the bottom bracket of the bike. You can find this number by turning the bike upside down and looking underneath the frame where the cranks and pedals are attached. In the three lines of numbers it is the first four numbers on the second line. If you can not find the number please contact our customer service team by sending an email to firstname.lastname@example.org or calling us at 855-966-6872, Monday to Friday from 8am to 5pm CST.
On 3/13/2020, we sent out a package to all of the original customers that purchased a woom 4, 5 and 6 during this period including a nut and bolt to install on the bike along with installation instructions, and all the tools you need to install it.
- If you purchased a woom 4, 5 or 6 during this period and have not received this package from us please contact our customer service team by sending an email to email@example.com or calling us at 855-966-6872, Monday to Friday from 8am to 5pm CST, and we will send the package to you.
- If you did receive the package, please take a minute to attach the nut and bolt before your child uses the bike. And, please let us know if there is someone else we should contact about the bike you purchased.
- If you have already mounted an original woom fender on your bike’s front wheel, you do not need to do anything further. The bolt used to hold the fender performs the same function as the bolt in this package.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact our customer service team by sending an email to firstname.lastname@example.org or calling us at 855-966-6872, Monday to Friday from 8am to 5pm CST.
Thank you so much for your help in resolving this issue with your bike.
